This 184 bed, 290,000 sq. ft., 6 floor pediatric hospital includes 18-pediatric ICU beds, 34-neonatal beds and a Special Care Unit/Cath Lab. Interior development to the medical center after the original completion consists of an MRI facility, Transitional Care Nurse’s Station and “Aikman’s End Zone” – a children’s entertainment area. A 17,000 sq. ft. (3,850-ton chilled water and 2,000 BHP, 100lb) central plant, also designed by Blum Engineers, enables the hospital to independently operate and monitor the environment of the facility.
